Farmer Copleys Moo Cafe Kitchen Assistant/Prep Chef
Farmer Copleys is a multi-award-winning Farm Shop, Café & Events business based in Pontefract, West Yorkshire. On the farm, we produce our own meat and grow pumpkins, strawberries, asparagus, rhubarb, raspberries, blackberries and liquorice in addition to flower fields with daffodils, sunflowers and tulips. Everything is available in our farm shop and the shop supplies the delicious ingredients for our Moo Café & Catered events.
We have a skilled and talented team of farmers, butchers, bakers and chefs to grow, make and prepare our range of products and menus for the café, the shop and events and functions. We celebrate and showcase everything that is great about British food and farming.
Our Moo Café opens day time hours, seven days a week and offers a delicious seasonal menu and daily specials. We promote the very best of Yorkshire with the meat being sourced from our award winning on-site butchery.
We are now looking for a hard working and adaptable kitchen assistant/prep chef to join our busy team. Generally, we have daytime working hours which is a great plus in the hospitality industry, however, weekend and occasional evening shifts will be required to support our private functions.
Our ideal candidate will be familiar with a commercial kitchen and the procedures which monitor food hygiene. They will be willing, flexible and adaptable when it comes to what needs doing on the day as jobs will include kitchen portering, sandwich prep and supporting the chefs with food preparation.
We will be looking for someone who has high personal presentation standards and high attention to detail when it comes to cleaning. A good communicator with a strong work ethic and who likes to keep busy and wants to do a great job
A good team player who is able to work flexibly and help provide cover at short notice.
