White Men Can’t Jerk are a London based catering company that bring you bold and vibrant dishes inspired by the flavours of the Caribbean.
We began life as a monthly party and cook out in 2013, an excuse for us to get all our friends and family together, play some records and enjoy dinner together in our local boozer.
Since then we have grown to become a regular on the London street food scene at Street Feast markets across the city, event caterer and hold long term kitchen resident in South London at The Prince of Peckham.
Our aim is to share the spices, flavours and aromatics that excite and an inspire us with you at home.
This position is for our new delivery kitchen in East London
The Head Chef / Kitchen Manager will work alongside the Executive Chef and Directors to manage daily kitchen activities, including overseeing staff, aiding with menu preparation, ensuring food quality and freshness, and monitoring ordering and stocking. Provides meal quality and consistency by following designated recipes.
Head Chef duties and responsibilities:

• Lead kitchen team and facilitate communication with FOH
• Organise staff schedules
• Experience in Kitchen Financial Management
• Monitor and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, COSHH & HACCP procedures
• Possess great passion for food and attention to detail
• Maintain a high level of quality and consistency in the food served
• Ensure kitchen and preparation areas are maintained to a high standard
• Coordinate with relevant parties for menu planning and printing
• Flexibility, reliability and adaptability
• Excellent communication skills; oral and written fluency in English

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £39,000.00-£41,000.00 per year
