Title: Multi Skilled Electrical Night Shift Maintenance Engineer
Reports to: Maintenance Manager
Department Core Hours: Night Shift - 10pm - 6am

The site is operational 24/5 with weekends utilised for business needs and customer demand.
Primary Role
To ensure that all machines are maintained safely & efficiently in accordance with all relevant legislation and that the Company’s legal responsibilities in regard of equipment installation & maintenance are fully complied with. Participates in operational projects across the site. Carry out maintenance checks of equipment & day to day repairs, adjustments & improvements. To be responsible for carrying out Breakdown resolution, Planned Preventative Maintenance activities & working with the Lean ethos to ensure highest standards on machine condition. Liaises with the production team to ensure that business requirements are satisfied by making sure that activities are carried out promptly & correctly. Implements improvements within the operation. As required installs, decommissions, recommissions, tests, etc capital equipment. Must be electrically biased.
Core Responsibilities
Deal with machine breakdowns to ensure that the site can maximize throughput and meet customer demand.
Reactive, proactive and planned maintenance across a wide range of factory equipment to support plant uptime.
Maintaining site services and facilities.
Focuses on saving cost on maintenance work and contributes to cost reduction initiatives.
Plans and manages individual and team projects.
To ensure that Quality, Health, Safety and Environmental standards are adhered to including the requirements of ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
Person Specification – Skills, Experience & Qualifications

• Strong practical and legal knowledge of Mechanical engineering/maintenance
• Qualified electrician - Level 3 electrical engineering qualification or equivalent
• Experience working as a Maintenance Engineer in a manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of extrusion, mixing & blending machines is advantageous but not essential.
• An understanding of product and process quality requirements and how machine condition impacts on these.
• Know and can apply the techniques of Planned Preventative & Total Productive, Maintenance to improve machine condition, improve product quality and reduce downtime.
• Good oral and written communication skills.
• Welding qualification/experience would be an advantage (MIG & Stick)
• Able to read engineering drawings.
