• Load reels to press from warehouse storage areas ensuring that paper is correct width, GSM, type of paper and job number compared to job bag.
• Check job bag for quantity of reels required against what you have available at time of print.
• Scan reels into Technique management system using hand held scanner.
• Prepare reels for loading taking care to check sides of reels for damage and minimising slab waste to a few sheets
• Check reels for any splices and make Press Minder aware reducing downtime.
• Ensure stock reels are correctly labelled and checked against job bag instructions to ensure they are correct for job.
• Pre-set Cutstar for reel Width, Cut-off, air settings when set start press up and run sheets into press.
• If Prosper job is due to print then feed paper up into Prosper and prep for print.
• Calculate any short falls in paper prior to job ending so minimising press downtime.
• Fill out correct paper work for paper requisition if required and give to Line Manager.
• Quarantine any damaged reels and put on hold and make Line Manager aware.
• Ensure waste is placed in appropriate bins. Always minimise waste
• Ensure area is maintained to 6S standards.
