We are looking for a Pharmacy Dispensing Assistant to assist in the provision of a safe, efficient and effective pharmaceutical service. The successful applicant will hold an NVQ (National Vocational Qualification) level 2 in Pharmacy Services, be a competent labeller, and an excellent communicator who can liaise with our Customer Service team and our pharmacists to ensure we provide the highest quality of Customer service. You must be able to engage with clinical staff and to work in a busy environment with a high degree of autonomy whilst adhering to all ethical, professional and legal pharmacy standards.
Principal Accountabilities:

• Answer enquiries received via telephone, e-mail, or by other means in a polite, helpful, and effective manner.
• Maintain confidentiality.
• Maintain the highest standards when assembling medications for patients in accordance with the standard operating procedures.
• Keep healthcare teams informed on the progress of their orders if items owed are delayed.
• Receive medication into stock.
• Comply with robot maintenance, ensuring all medicines are processed correctly into and out of the Robot.
• Report on overstocking, understocking and stock review to the Dispensary Manager.
• Undertake any other appropriate duties as may be requested by the Principal Pharmacist or the Dispensary Manager.
