Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Backend Developer to join our fully remote team. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of delivering high-quality software solutions, primarily using PHP. This is an exciting opportunity to work on complex projects from inception to completion and to contribute to the ongoing support of our diverse client base.
As a company, we pride ourselves on building strong relationships with our clients, developing bespoke online software across various sectors. Our team is small, friendly, and committed to remote working, with optional in-person meet-ups.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality backend solutions using PHP and My SQL.
• Work within MVC frameworks, with a preference for experience with Symfony or Zend.
• Help to maintain both bespoke systems and Word Press based systems.
• Familiarity with Mongo DB and Elasticsearch.
• Collaborate using Git Lab, Jira and Slack.
• Integrate/use third-party APIs seamlessly into existing systems.
• Develop custom Word Press plugins and themes to meet client needs.
• Enhance web performance, security, and accessibility.
• Self-motivated with excellent time management abilities.
• Capable of working to deadlines and managing multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills with a willingness to engage with clients to understand and address their requirements and issues.
