Infrastructure Gateway Limited (IGL) is the UK’s largest independent multi utility infrastructure provider, assisting in the end to end process of Tendering, Design and Installation of utility networks for all of the National Housing Developers and the wider construction industry. Join our Operations team as a Planning Administrator and you’ll be a big part of a team completing meaningful work.
Job Summary
The role is to carry out the administration tasks within the Planning Team in a timely manner, ensuring that all paperwork for regulated work is sent to various utility companies correctly and on time, assisting the Planning Team Leaders to ensure that utilities are installed in accordance with company processes.
It is your responsibility to liaise with utility companies and clients to ensure that the process from call off to the completion of utility installation runs smoothly.
What you'll be doing
As a Planning Administrator you will have the following accountabilities:
  • To carry out general administrative duties in a timely manner with a keen eye for detail.
  • Keeping accurate paper and electronic records in line with team and Operations Department protocol.
  • Manage customer queries escalating to the Team Leader or Operations Manager as appropriate or necessary to ensure a satisfactory conclusion for all parties.
  • Liaising with relevant utility companies on queries, issues and updates.
  • To be able to work to KPI's (Key Performance Indicators) so that the department meets its objectives.
  • Speaking to customers and clients to answer queries and resolve issues.
  • Taking responsibility for your own health, safety and wellbeing, and undertaking health and safety duties and responsibilities for your role.
  • Treating all employees, customers and stakeholders with dignity and respect.
  • Carrying out any other reasonable and necessary duties within the remit of the role.

About us
Our head office is based in Kettering, Northamptonshire. We have been working with developers providing them with the expertise to deliver the utilities on construction projects since 2003. We work with a large range of house builders and construction companies installing Water, Gas, Electricity and Fibre to their site's, on time and on budget. We have gained MURS accreditation (Multi Utility Recognition Status) which allows us to do a mix of design work and construction of utilities giving the client a variety of options for delivering part or all of their services, onsite and offsite.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £23,508.00 per year
Schedule:
  • Monday to Friday
  • No weekends

  • Kettering: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
