Job Overview
TE Connectivity's Assembly Teams operate assigned automated assembly machinery, ensure component flow, troubleshoot and correct machinery issues to ensure quality and productivity. They perform changeovers and setups according to production schedule, perform quality checks according to established processes and document the results as required by our quality procedures. Every team member is responsible for maintaining housekeeping and organization of the work area as well as following TE Connectivity's EH&S policies and procedures.
Primary Purpose
To assemble component parts of connectors as per work instructions/specifications or to a qualified standard in order to minimise defects.
To work as a member of a team and assist in the smooth running of the department in order to meet required output.
Job Responsibilities:

• Use appropriate tools and methods to deburr components in preparation for the next processing stage.
• Perform manual and mechanical surface preparation operations.
• Conduct cleaning operations, such as degreasing components.
• Identify and repair any potential defects in components.
• Complete all relevant documentation to ensure traceability is maintained.
• Ensure components are processed according to demand and within specified timescales.
• Maintain control, traceability, and functionality of tooling.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards to meet safety requirements.
• Adhere to COSHH regulations and company procedures to maintain safety levels.
• Perform other reasonable tasks as requested to support department functions.

Key Requirements:

• Education and Training: General education with a good understanding of math is advantageous. Factory experience essential.
• Resources: Access to deburring benches, dedicated tooling, and visual aids.
• Decision Making: Recommend improved working practices where possible.
• Initiative: Stay alert and aware to ensure continuous product flow and quality.
• Mental Effort: Requires a reasonable degree of concentration and good hand-eye coordination for intricate work.
• Communication: Primarily interacts with internal departments but may occasionally contact visiting company personnel.
