Job Summary
Bender UK is part of the Bender Group, a global, family run company with a leading reputation for innovation in the design and manufacture of electrical safety products.
Due to rapid growth over the past few years, we currently have an exciting vacancy for a newly created role as a Projects Engineer within our Clinical team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role managing and overseeing clinical projects across the Companies diverse portfolio within the Healthcare sector across the UK. This position requires a strong technical background and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to ensure project success. The Project Engineer will be responsible for managing project timelines.
Responsibilities
You will need to have a full, clean UK drivers licence and a willingness to travel across the UK to oversee projects on-site when required.
We are looking for someone who is competent, courteous and professional who can demonstrate dedication to their stakeholders both internally and externally, possesses excellent time management skills and has the drive and desire to succeed.
You will be computer literate, and the ability to use Salesforce CRM would be a distinct advantage.
The role involves regular communication with both internal colleagues and external customers within a wide variety of different industries on a wide variety of projects of different sizes – the ability to work collaboratively and problem solve is a must! The person we are looking for will have a background in Mechanical Engineering with a Degree or HNC in Mechanical engineering being advantageous, as would previous knowledge of the Bender equipment portfolio.
You should be reliable and flexible – this role will involve travel, so you should hold a full, clean drivers’ licence, be a self-starter and prepared to travel within the UK. A company vehicle, mobile phone, laptop and i-Pad will be provided to enable you to do your job.

Responsibilities
- Supporting the Bender UK Sales Team with technical advice and information by email, telephone or in person if a site visit is required.
- Regular communication with both the internal and external sales team to ensure all technical aspects are captured across all schemes.
- Attending site meetings as required to represent Bender UK before, during and post project completion.
- Producing and approving technical drawings with customers in line with the technical specifications and to the smooth running of BUK projects.
- Constant technical communication with all parties in the Bender supply chain to ensure the projects are completed to a high standard.
- Evaluating, organising and prioritising work within the project schedule.
- Understanding of the company CRM system essential.
- Using the company CRM system to deliver projects to BUK standards.
- Ability to walk customers sites and compile site specific RAMS.
- Wash up of projects, ensuring all O&M’s are sent, clients training completed and all systems (CRM & Drives) are up to date.
- Ensure all invoicing is complete. Accountability for projects to be completed on time and within budget.
- Final reviews with customer on BUK’s performance, 360 review and feed back to Line manager
