Our well established client in Aberdeen is looking for an experienced Purchaser to join their growing team on a part time basis. This is a permanent position based in the office.
Part time position of 22.5 hours per week, days to be confirmed.
Duties

• Provide support for the purchasing supervisor and technical superintendent in the operational purchasing process, order management, monitoring of purchasing processes and receipt of goods.
• Co-operate with the organisation, colleagues and co-workers to help everyone meet their legal requirements and maintain the company’s quality, health, safety and environmental policies within the confines of their role.
• Reports to the purchasing supervisor on operational purchasing matters relating to their allocated vessels.
• Reports to the purchasing supervisor and technical superintendent on all logistical matters on goods concerning his vessels.
• Reports to the purchasing supervisor on the performance of the suppliers.
• Performs any other specific responsibilities and tasks assigned by management.
• Administers the receipt of goods and the dates service was received.
• Arrange in close cooperation with the purchasing supervisor, technical superintendent and the vessel the logistics of goods destined for the vessel cost effective and efficiently.
• To input and record purchasing data accordingly in the purchasing system AMOS & AXAPTA

Requirements

• Proven experience in a purchasing role or similar position within supply chain management.
• Strong knowledge of procurement systems.
• Familiarity with logistics processes and supply chain dynamics.
• Ability to analyse data and make informed purchasing decisions based on market trends.
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with suppliers and internal teams.
