We are looking for a competent and friendly individual with excellent knowledge and a good customer service manner. The job will be between 10 and 20 hours depending on skills and experience. Perhaps you've worked in retail management or are a university student based in Sheffield who has worked in a shop since leaving school. Hourly rate and hours will be offered accordingly.
Applicants for the post will need to be:

• Friendly and assured when dealing with customers – you don’t have to be the chattiest person in the world but you must be calm, polite and easy going.
• A fast learner – we have LOTS of stock, and you need to be able to get used to learning about products and DIY by yourself.
• An all-round practical, organised and methodical person - you’ll be talking to customers about everything from making a good brew to advising which is the best paint brush for a job… all while unloading the next delivery!

*PLEASE do not apply for short term work* It’s a very small team and it takes a lot of time to get to know all the ins and outs of the shop.
