We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our expanding Agricultural sales team in our long standing family business at Appleby. As we look to grow our sales within Cumbria, we require an experienced agricultural sales representative to sell new and used agricultural equipment to new and existing customers.
H Pigney & Son are long standing agricultural Engineers and have been around in the community for nearly 200 years. We supply an extensive range of Agricultural and Groundcare Machinery across Cumbria and North Yorkshire. Our main franchises are Kubota, Suzuki, Vicon, Browns, Fleming plus many other leading brands.

• Represent the business in the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area.
• Execute all sales process steps to achieve high sales performance in conjunction with the sales tools available from Kubota.
• Maintain current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment and services potentially saleable by the dealership and attends relevant sales training events.
• Maintain current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods.
• Monitor competitor activity and products and communicates to the sales team accordingly.
• Conducts new equipment field demonstrations.
• Execute goods delivery and follow up. Build strong and loyal relationships with defined sales area customers.
• Monitor trends in customers’ business activities and timely communicates to management.

Skills & Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of agricultural equipment and farming operational practices
• Ability to use standard computer applications, internet functions & sales tools
• Excellent customer relationship skills
• Excellent attitude with integrity and honesty

This is a full-time position, with the ability to work as the business dictates e.g showtime. Previous Agricultural Sales experience is necessary and we would expect some time to be spent in our Appleby premise per week.
