As a Transport Planner, you'll play a key role at the centre of our Network Planning Centre (NPC) the heart of Gist’s transport function.
The role is based at our Head Office in Chineham and we are looking for candidates who can commit to a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, working 07:00 – 19:00.

What will you do & what will you need
As a Transport Planner you will be responsible for planning products through the Gist network for well-known retailers. Strong communication skills will be vital to ensuring a solid relationship with depots and customers throughout the UK. Working in a fast paced environment, we encourage creativeness and thinking outside the box to ensure that efficient plans are created. Your responsibilities will entail tasks such as:

• Using the Paragon Software planning tool to produce efficient plans for our depots and associated customers, whilst adhering to strict service requirements
• Analysing plans to identify network opportunities to reduce costs, drive efficiency to minimise our environmental impact and maximise profits
• Working with the operational teams to facilitate the delivery of initiatives
