Overview
I'm on the hunt for a talented Underwriting Assistant to join our team on a 12-month fixed term contract based in Harrogate. You will be working as part of a small team, working collaboratively to deliver great results, whilst demonstrating a positive can-do attitude. We will provide you with on-the-job training with a highly experienced team and on-going additional support. If you have a proven track record of delivering high quality administrative support in a fast paced environment of this could be the role for you!
What does an Underwriting Assistant here do?
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your line manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following:
This is an opportunity for someone with experience from an insurance, financial or risk sector. You will be computer literate and have experience of using both Microsoft Word and Excel. We are looking for someone has:

What does an Underwriting Assistant here do?

- Manage both new and existing business mailboxes.
- Data entry and record keeping.
- Organising and maintaining our diary system.
- Issuing policy documents.
- Communicating with our underwriters and network of brokers.
- Actioning any ad-hoc requests.
This is an opportunity for someone with experience from an insurance, financial or risk sector. You will be computer literate and have experience of using both Microsoft Word and Excel. We are looking for someone has:
- Ability to prioritise your workload from your own initiative.
- A highly effective communicator who works well as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail.
