******New role******
This is a 'newly developed role' at DAWS Transport Services LTD Bristol.
At a time when the economy is challenging for some businesses we are bucking the trend.
We are becoming increasingly busy, hence the need to create a new role to support our warehouse and driving team.
We are looking for a candidate to manage and carry out afternoon operations at our warehouse in Pucklechurch, Bristol.
Our Afternoon operations include (but not limited to) the following:

• Collecting parcels and goods for future deliveries from local customers
• Receiving and exiting goods in and out of the warehouse.
• Assist in the unloading of vans returning from the days delivery routes
• Lead and take part in loading vehicles ready for the following days routes
• keep the warehouse, organised,clean and tidy
• End of day and closing procedures

The proposed hours of work are 2pm to 7pm Monday to Friday.
The position involves driving Counter balance Forklifts and vehicles of Sprinter and Luton size. The largest vehicle you will need to drive is 3.5 tonne gross weight (normal car licence).
Being a member of the DAWS Team always promises variety. It’s a hands-on role where you’ll make things happen at pace.
We have a diverse range of high profile customers that require anything from basic A to B deliveries to Event Logistics and White Glove home deliveries
This is a part-time position
Living locally in the Bristol area is important.
Excellent communication skills are essential.
You must be a Team player, friendly, family orientated, confident, Self-motivated, organised and have common sense in abundance.

To be considered for this role you must have/be prepared to carry out the following:
* Confident and competent to drive any vehicles up to 3.5 tonne gross vehicle weight.
* Hold a full UK driving licence for more than 2 years (For insurance purposes)
* Have no more than 3 points on your driving licence (For insurance purposes)
* Must not been convicted of drink/drug driving offences (For insurance purposes)
* Has not had a driving ban imposed for any reason (For insurance purposes)
* Any personal/company accidents or claims must be declared (For insurance purposes)
* Any Criminal convictions must be declared (For insurance purposes)
* Any medical conditions must be declared (For insurance purposes)
* Be able to communicate in written and spoken English
It is company policy to carry out DBS checks for all employee's.
