Wind Turbine Technician

Join us in this role where you’ll be focusing on planned activities with a reliability and asset health perspective which is driven by the systems and tools. You’ll identify common, reoccurring, and major component faults and collaborate with other departments to reach solutions. You’ll be using advanced analysis tools to create solution-based recommendations and create and maintain a master alarm data base to provide error code investigation guidance.
Welcome to Technical Optimisation
You’ll be part of The Remote Diagnostic and Asset Health team where you, together with your colleagues, will understand the current asset health within the UKE Fleet. Together, you’ll proactively improve the health of our assets through targeted remote investigations and addressing open warnings and be responsible for preparing and reviewing maintenance tasks and documentation management. Your other tasks will include prioritising Offshore Works for WTG Repair and maintenance. We work closely with the Regional Technical Site Supervisors and Site Teams to cover the essential elements for asset management of our wind farms; Reliability, Resiliency, Redundancy and RCA. As a team, we embrace the opportunities to learn new skills and help develop other members of the team.

You’ll play an important role in:
  • delivering optimum asset reliability and condition-based maintenance across UK East Coast Fleet
  • provide advice and solution for a First Time Fix
  • using our internal and SGRE’s remote diagnostic tools to perform remote diagnostic
  • predicting failures to improve mean time between faults and improving the
  • productivity of the asset.
To succeed in the role, you:
  • demonstrate a curious mindset regarding asset health
  • have experience with SAP processes and task lists, Scheduling Cockpit, and SMC
  • are competent and certified within Wind Turbine Safety Rules
  • have experience with G4 or DD platforms
  • have the ability to transfer via CTV, SOV, and Helicopter
  • are currently employed as a CT or above.
