Youth Support Worker (Children and young people)

Position Overview:
We are currently supporting a client recruit permanent youth workers for their amazing childrens home in Staines upon Thames. As a Residential Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in providing a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment for children and young people in residential care. This role involves building positive relationships, implementing care plans, and promoting the overall well-being and development of each individual. This includes going on great days out - Don’t forget the fun!
Pay and Benefits:
£34,125 per year - Unqualified (Including one sleep in per week)
£36,739 per year - Qualified (NVQ Level 3 - children and young people) (Including one sleep in per year.
£60 per sleep in

You must be able to do at least one sleep in per week!
Key Responsibilities:
Care and Support: Provide day-to-day care and support to children and young people in residential settings, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Behavior Management: Implement behavior management strategies and work collaboratively with other team members to create a positive living environment.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs, incident reports, and individual progress notes.
Communication: Collaborate with colleagues, families, and external agencies to ensure effective communication and coordinated care.
Advocacy: Advocate for the rights and interests of children and young people, promoting their independence and self-esteem.
Crisis Intervention: Respond appropriately to crisis situations, following established protocols and ensuring the safety of all residents.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Strong understanding of child development, trauma-informed care, and behavior management techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
