Rent.Live provides housing nationally for students attending local colleges. We seek a full-time cleaner to help maintain our residential apartment units.
What is this job all about? We lease apartment units from three apartment communities located within minutes of each other and house our students in them. The units are fully furnished and include utilities. Our students rent a bed in the unit, and they're on individual leases. We lease 23 apartment units that are two and three-bedroom in size. Our cleaner will inspect the units using our inspection app and then clean and help maintain the units for the company and the students. Our cleaner will spend two hours on average cleaning each unit and be responsible for cleaning three units daily, Monday through Friday.

Duties:

• Our apartments are two and three-bedroom units with up to five students living in each unit. You would be responsible for cleaning three units daily, roughly two hours per unit.
• Perform general cleaning tasks such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms.
• Empty trash cans, dispose of waste properly and replace trash bags.
• Clean windows, mirrors, and other glass surfaces.
• Clean and maintain carpets using appropriate cleaning methods and special equipment.
• Clean and ready the apartments for new move-ins, tenant transfers, and unit closeouts.
• Assist the property manager with all leasing activity needs.
• Assist the property manager with maintenance follow-ups and unit issues.

Skills:

• Attention to detail to ensure thorough cleaning.
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to cleaning procedures.
• Time management skills to complete tasks efficiently within designated timeframes.
• Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
• Help our students feel welcome and taken care of.

Job Requirements

• Valid social security number and authorized to work in the United States
• Fluent in English
• Cleaning experience (having cleaned for others before)
• Must provide your own cleaning supplies and equipment
