Responsibilities: Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center is a 182-bed, acute care psychiatric hospital located in the beautiful Oakland Park neighborhood of Fort Lauderdale, FL. FLBHC features individual units for children, adolescents, adults, and seniors, and offers inpatient acute care, partial hospitalization, and intensive outpatient programs. On average, over 10,000 patients receive care from our compassionate health care team each year at Fort Lauderdale Behavioral Health.

Assistant Director of Social Services

The Assistant Director of Social Services provides support to Clinical Services administration by assisting and facilitating the guidance and compliance of clinical service goals to the Social Workers and Primary Therapists in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and standards of the facility and level of care requirements. This position will assist in ensuring that the department maintains a safe and therapeutic approach at all times and provides a model for service excellence and successful department development through auditing, development of training guides/professional development, liaison between units and leadership and floor coverage, when needed.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Education/Training:

Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work or other related filed
Must be Licensed in Florida as; LMHC or LSWC

Experience:

Five (5) Year prior experience in a management or supervisory role
Excellent oral and written skills

Knowledge and Skills:

Well organized
Knowledge of HIPPA regulations
Effective communication skills
Ability to perform light statistical data tasks.
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel)
Attention to detail.
Competent in the use of appropriate sensitivity with all clients
Sensitive and aware of diverse cultures and their practices
Fast pace, multi-task oriented.
