This position is designated under the Conflict-of-Interest Code. The position is responsible for making or participating in the making of governmental decisions that may potentially have a material effect on personal financial interests. The appointee is required to complete Form 700 within 30 days of appointment. Failure to comply with the Conflict-of-Interest Code requirements may void the appointment.

Eligible for telework in accordance with CDIs Telework policy. Government Code 14200 for eligible applicants must reside in California. Teleworking employees may be required to report to their headquarters office location on designated telework days. Travel expenses are not reimbursed, however other authorized transit subsidies do exist for those who qualify.

Occasional travel may be required within and/ or outside the State of California via private or public transportation (i.e., automobile, airplane, bus, train etc.) Travel may include overnight stay(s).

Work in a modern high-rise building if required to go in-office.

- Experience reviewing and analyzing insurance policies and insurance company reporting;
- Experience reviewing, analyzing and drafting proposed legislation;
- Experience conducting, consolidating and applying legal research;
- Proficiency with personal computing and Microsoft Office 365 applications;
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
- Strong inter-personal skills and a high level of professional standards;
- Ability to work independently and collaborate in teams.
