This full-service hospital will include 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for physician offices, clinics, a community space, a 500-car garage and a helipad for emergency transports.
We are seeking an experienced Biomedical Engineering Technician to perform evaluations, repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance on devices used in the care and treatment of patients in the facility.
- Routinely performs the corrective and preventive maintenance of devices and all related follow-up communications. Documents and maintains records of all work activities in the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
- Participates in on-call schedule/rotation as directed.
- Understands and complies with some regulatory requirements.
- Understands and properly operates test equipment required for the repair and maintenance of devices in the HTM Program.
- Follows established corporate and local policies and procedures pertinent to the position held.
- Participates in and/or facilitates in-service education to device users.
- Coordinates the ordering of replacement parts and/or service on devices. Ensures replacement parts/services are delivered and ensures accuracy of invoicing. Ensures all exchange parts ordered are returned for proper credit within the time frame specified.

- High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate Degree from an accredited College, University or Technical school preferred.
- Professional Certification (CBET, CRES, CLES, CABT, CHTM, PMP, AWS-CSAA, CISSP, CAN, MLT, CRCST) preferred.
- Previous experience with healthcare technology management programs.
- Proficiency with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) products.
- Medical equipment knowledge (manufacturers, models, modalities, device types).
- Understanding of federal, state and local regulatory requirements of medical devices (CMS, TJC, CLIA, AABB, NRC).
- Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Office),
