PRIMARY PURPOSE OF JOB:
Manages the procurement and scheduling of raw materials and purchased parts necessary to support the production of finished goods. Develop and maintain relationships with designated suppliers.

MAJOR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES/ACCOUNTABILITIES

Issue purchase orders and schedule delivery of parts and raw materials consistent with in-process inventory objectives and production schedules. Expedite or delay deliveries as required.
Establish and maintain accurate data in SAP – PIR, source lists, quota arrangement, ERP data pertaining to suppliers, etc.
Act as liaison between suppliers and internal groups (Accounts Payable, Quality, Production, Engineering, etc)
Evaluate existing suppliers through quarterly business review meetings
Support new product development and start-ups
Resolves goods receipts transaction discrepancies
Analyze reports to ensure inventory and cost variance goals are being met

KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business, supply chain, or related field
CPSM and/or CPIM, desirable
Prefer 2 years of related work experience
Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Demonstrated solid analytical skills. Detail oriented and accurate.
Experience in a fast-paced environment and ability to balance multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as demonstrated strong interpersonal skills to communicate with all levels of personnel.
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point.
SAP knowledge a preferred
