Responsibilities:

Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating contracts and terms to achieve favorable pricing and service levels.
Analyze purchasing data to identify trends, opportunities for cost savings, and areas for improvement in the procurement process.
Conduct research on market conditions, supplier performance, and emerging trends to inform purchasing decisions.
Manage purchase orders from creation to completion, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery of goods.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with supply chain teams to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
Evaluate cost structures and pricing strategies to ensure competitive pricing and identify opportunities for cost reductions.
Track and report on supplier performance, including quality, delivery, and responsiveness, to ensure compliance with contract terms.
Work closely with internal teams, including finance, production, and logistics, to align purchasing activities with company goals.
Prepare regular reports on purchasing activities, cost savings, and supplier performance for senior management.
Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
Experience: 2-4 years of experience in a procurement, buyer, or analyst role, preferably in a manufacturing or retail environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) is a plus.
Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Knowledge of supply chain and inventory management principles.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift, carry, and pull up to 50 pounds at times

Compensation:

The pay range for this job is between $25.00 / Hr. - $29.00 / Hr. This is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
