MIPs Technician
Compassionate Care Research Institute, Inc. d/b/a Fresh Delaware is a vertically integrated medical cannabis healthcare facility located at 800 Ogletown Road in Newark, DE.
Operating under licensure of the Delaware Department of Health and Social Services, Fresh Delaware provides a growing population of patients with a palliative option to reliance on opioid pain management.
Job Summary:
The position is responsible for cannabis extraction, winterization, distillation, and all aspects of manufactured infused products.
Essential Functions:
· Maintain a complete understanding of all company policies, procedures, and safety guidelines;
· Operate all extraction equipment while observing strict adherence to all safety standards, compliance procedures, including GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), state and local laws;
· Routinely perform safety checks within the MIPs Division and all equipment;
· Work as part of a team to meet production schedules;
· Maintain effective communication skills, verbal and written, with co-workers and management;
· Maintain and clean MIPs Division areas and all extraction equipment;
· Capable of working with hazardous chemicals;
· Produce cannabis extraction by operating ethanol and solventless extraction systems;
· Properly store and prepare all materials designated for MIPs;
· Maintain all MIPs logs and checklist to immediately resolve discrepancies;
· Routinely perform quality control checks;
· Document and record all data in all necessary software platforms;
· Take immediate action to mitigate negative findings;
· Maintain the daily/weekly schedule;
· Must be able to lift thirty-five (35) pounds.
· Document daily activities and generate daily reports;
· Ensure that all daily tasks are completed in a timely manner;
· Produce a safe, consumer-focused, and collaborative working culture; and
· Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications and Preferred Professional Experience:
· Strong interpersonal and communication skills, exceptional attention to detail, and a strong work ethic.
· Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Medical Science, Food Science, Laboratory Technician, and cannabis extraction experience is a plus.
