JOB DESCRIPTION
FTG Builders is a non-union General Contractor based in Santa Clara, CA., specializing in Healthcare construction and higher education serving clients in Santa Cruz, Salinas, and adjoining areas. The position schedule flexes between day and night and all applicants must be able to work both in a hospital setting. OBJECTIVES OF THIS ROLE

• Working in a team and doing commercial construction.
• Knowledgeable building infection control containments.
• Must be a team player, communicate with coworkers, subs and execute tasks efficiently.

RESPOSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

• Work with laborers / apprentice carpenters to set, maintain, and remove containments.
• Excellent metal stud framing and drywall skills required.
• General high level of rough and finish carpentry skills required.
• Good understanding of restroom ADA requirements required.
• Technical layout and demo for self-performed, subcontractor, and vendor work.
• Proficient in layout and anchoring medical equipment, imaging equipment, and working with IOR and special inspectors is required.
• Loading and unloading materials, supplies, and work tools to and from trucks and the construction site.
• Operation of hand tools (jackhammer, vibrator, saws, drills)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
• Safe work practices.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
• Must be reliable and motivated to work with a high performing team.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

• High school diploma.
• Ability to perform strenuous tasks with your hands.
• Ability to kneel, bend, and lift heavy materials.
• Ability to work effectively within a team environment while demonstrating individual initiative.
• Willing to learn new skills and apply them with supportive oversight.
• 5-15 years’ experience in commercial construction.
• Must be presentable and mindful of language and volume of activities in a hospital environment, working around staff and patients.
• Have reliable transportation.
• Provide your own hand tools.
• Valid driver’s license
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Open to background check and drug testing

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $30.00 - $52.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
