Carpenter - Restoration and Construction

We are looking to hire someone for a commercial restoration and construction position in the Kansas City metro. Time will be split between performing construction tasks with an emphasis on wood framing in the beginning, restoration / emergency response work and supervising various trades, subcontractors and labor. The applicant will need to be self-sufficient in how to problem solve and make repairs in a variety of trades listed below. The applicant will be based out of Kansas City but some travel and overtime hours may be required.
The applicant must be a great communicator with clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and company management. Applicants must be self-motivated and self-sufficient when it comes to all construction tasks. Applicants must also maintain a positive attitude. This is not an entry-level position or apprentice position. We're hiring skilled carpenters and tradespeople.
Applicant needs to be proficient at the following construction trades:

- Rough and finish carpentry.
- Casework / millwork installation.
- Drywall installation.
- Drywall finishing.
- Painting.
- Caulking.
- Window and door installation.
- Metal framing.
- Acoustic ceilings.
- Minor electrical.
- Minor plumbing.
- More construction-related tasks as needed.
- Wallpaper and flooring experience preferred.
- Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is preferred.
Applicant needs to have experience in the following restoration tasks:
- Emergency response and proper protocols.
- Water extraction.
- Setup and monitoring of equipment (air movers, dehumidifiers, etc).
- Setup of containment.
- Taking detailed moisture readings, humidity levels, and mapping.
- Determining what building components need to be removed and performing those demolition tasks.
- Experience leading crews and/or as a supervisor is preferred
Requirements:
- Applicants must be able to pass a background check and be legal to work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time, Hourly.
Salary: $27 to $50 per hour.
