CMMC Assessor - CCA Job Description
Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented CMMC Assessor - CCA to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assessing and ensuring compliance with the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) standards for our clients. Your expertise will help organizations enhance their cybersecurity posture and protect sensitive information. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cybersecurity assessments and an understanding of industry best practices.
Requirements:
-3 years of cybersecurity experience
-1 year of audit or assessment experience
-One Do D 8140 active certification: Intermediate or Advanced

Responsibilities

• As an assessor, you will collaborate with team members to evaluate whether clients have sufficiently prepared to meet compliance requirements
• Assessors will be required to participate in advisory roles and assessments as needed, possessing the necessary understanding and technical aptitude to perform effectively both in a team environment and independently.
• Assessors are part of a team responsible for evaluating an organization’s readiness for assessment, which includes:
• Collecting and examining evidence, observing, testing, and analyzing results
• Accurately scoring OSC practices and validating preliminary findings
• Generating initial report findings
• Finalizing findings for the assessment report and delivering recommended results

Additional requirements include:

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
• Professional interpersonal and communication skills with team members and client stakeholders
• Conducting client interviews to evaluate the technical and operational effectiveness of security control implementations.
• Assess existing security environments to validate that security implementations remain up to date throughout the life cycle of a system or environment.
• Facilitate training sessions and workshops to educate clients about compliance processes.
• Assist in the development of policies and procedures.

Skills

• Strong understanding of the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework.
• Excellent analytical skills with the ability to assess complex systems and identify vulnerabilities.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for effective reporting and client interaction.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality assessments.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
• Proficient in using assessment tools and methodologies relevant to cybersecurity compliance.

Pay: $130,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
