Job: Customer Service/Estimator Department: Admin
Reporting to: Department Manager Hours: M-F 8:30am to 5:00pm
General Job Description:
Customer Service/Estimators work closely with distributors, architects, designers and building owners. They project a positive energy for customers and can provide detail conversation through email or the phone. On location, business casual attire.
Major Duties and Responsibilities:
- Interface with a large customer base through email and telephone
- Inside sales support
- Develop customer relationships and provide technical information
- Resolves any discrepancies between information provided by customer and what is provided in estimate
- Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
- Determining what factors of production will influence the cost of a service or product
- Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the product or service
- Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
- Must be self-Motivated
- Dependability and a strong work ethic is a must.
- General administrative assistance and other duties as assigned.
Education/Experience:
- High school diploma or 2 years college preferred.
- 1 + years of Customer Service/Estimating experience (Preferred)
- Must be able to balance multiple priorities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Working knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel
- Ability to work well with others.
- Attention to detail
- Office Environment with periodic visits to production area.
- Ability to lift an estimated 30 pounds with or without accommodations.
