About the Position...
The Deposit Services Specialist - In Training (DSSIT) is an onsite position and does not have remote opportunities.
The Deposit Services Specialist - In Training (DSSIT) Program is designed to provide valuable training and work experience to individuals wishing to begin a career in the banking industry. The program will teach the participants how to complete a variety of teller functions including paying and receiving functions, as well as a variety of other operational duties and functions. Based upon the successful completion of each phase of this program, the participants rate of pay will increase based on the chart below:

• $20.00 per hour to start
• $21.00 per hour after completion of Phase One, typically 30 days
• $22.00 per hour after completion of Phase Two, typically 60 days

The Deposit Services Specialist - In Training (DSSIT) has a dual reporting structure, both to the Client Service Manager, as well as to the Deposit Service Team Lead. The DSS will assist clients, including in person, over the telephone, as well as virtually, with a variety of requests. The DSS is responsible for assisting new and existing clients with establishing deposit products and services including checking accounts, savings accounts, money market accounts, certificates of deposit accounts, online banking services, remote deposit capture and ACH services in a prompt, courteous, efficient and professional manner. This includes visiting existing and potential clients at their place of business and assisting Branch Managers and Client Relationship Managers with the same. Daily activities also include renewing certificates of deposits, assisting clients with establishing the various cash management products and services and assisting clients with a variety of needs related to online banking, remote deposit capture and other services. The DSSIT is also responsible for various Teller functions, including paying and receiving, balancing each days transactions and verifying cash totals. The DSSIT is also responsible for actively cross-selling all of the Banks products and services at all times. This position will also support the Support Center Manager, Deposit Service Team Lead and the Client Service Manager with other projects and duties as assigned.
About You...
You are a self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit who thrives in a team environment. You also have the following:
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of new accounts and cash management products and services, as well as banking and deposit operations and procedures preferred.
Experience Required: Minimum of 1-year cash handling or teller experience in the financial services industry.
Skills/Abilities:

Compensation
Hiring Salary Range: $20.00 to $22.00.
This compensation information is United Business Bank's good-faith estimate and is provided pursuant to Colorado's Equal Pay for Equal Work Act. Actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level. The base pay and target incentive (if applicable) will be finalized at offer.
