Dog walker
Dogsof All Boroughs is a rapidly growing company that was established last year. We offer our services in various areas, including Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, and LIC. Our team consists of young professionals who are committed to providing unique and enjoyable experiences for both our human and canine clients. We invest in our people so that our clients feel confident knowing they are receiving the best care possible.
As a member of our team, you will receive training during the 2 initial weeks to familiarize yourself with our clients and dogs, as well as learn essential training techniques that will simplify your job in the long term. We aim to provide you with all the tips and tricks necessary to ensure a smooth and enjoyable walk for both you and the dog. We will also supply you with all the necessary equipment for dog walking, including a complimentary treat bag.
We are currently searching for our ideal dog lovers that are reliable, punctual, fun, loving, outgoing, logical, communicative, and active. We will provide flexibility when it comes to your schedule, but we also expect flexibility on your end. Schedules change weekly. We are looking for people who are available 4-5 days a week (M-F). Shifts are anywhere from 4-8 hours. We also do occasional weekend schedules that will be asked prior to time.
We are looking to fill a FULL TIME and PART TIME walkers MONDAY - FRIDAY AND sometimes WEEKENDS. (time frame does not include commute)*
You will be interviewed and must go through a 3 step interview. After we have interviewed you, we will call you to come in and put your skills to the test. Training will NOT be paid. It will be part of the in-person Interview.
You will follow 3 interviews:
- Phone interview
- Zoom Interview
- In-person ( to view your dog handling skills at work)
Responsibilities:
- Dog Walking (up to 2-3 dogs at a time) if needed.
- Ensure each dog's customized needs are met during and after the walk.
- Progress report to clients AFTER every walk has been completed regarding the dog's activity level and behavior during the walk, including pictures and/or video.
- Daily communication with the team on daily basis.
Qualifications:
- Opportunity to board dogs in your home is a plus!
- Have a College Degree
- Have a working smartphone with a data plan and good camera quality.
- Must have a Bank account
- Provide the name and number of the previous place you worked for.
- Must love dogs and have a passion for working with dogs of all shapes and sizes.
- Previous experience in handling dogs.
- Strong communication and time management skills are a must.
- Ready to commit to a minimum of 6 months with sign contract.
- Willingness to work outside in ALL types of weather.
- Submit to a background check.
- Required work authorization: United States.
- Prior experience as a dog walker, pet sitter, dog sitter, pet care, animal care a plus!
