• Compliance and Standards: Provide direction and support to ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local EHS regulations, meeting or exceeding internal and external safety standards.
• Program Development and Improvement: Assist in the development, implementation, and maintenance of comprehensive EHS programs and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Collaboration: Partner with the EHS Supervisor and site teams to ensure effective execution of EHS programs, enhancing compliance and safety performance.
• Culture Building: Promote a positive EHS culture by demonstrating behaviors aligned with the company’s EHS vision and mission and engaging employees and contractors on safety matters.
• Surveillance and Inspections: Conduct frequent workplace observations to monitor activities, address unsafe conditions, and perform daily EHS inspections to identify and resolve nonconformities.
• Training and Records: Develop, conduct, and document EHS training sessions, ensuring training records are maintained and compliance requirements are met.
• Hazard Assessment and Control: Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and implement control measures to reduce or eliminate EHS risks.
• Incident Investigation: Facilitate incident investigations, perform root cause analyses, and ensure timely implementation of corrective actions.
• Program Monitoring and Metrics: Collect, analyze, and report key performance metrics to drive continuous improvement of the company’s EHS operations.
• SOPs and Job Safety Analyses: Assist in the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and job safety analyses.
• Onboarding and Communication: Coordinate site-specific EHS orientations for new employees, contractors, and visitors, and proactively share EHS information to promote understanding of hazards and safe practices.
• Regulatory Inspections and Compliance Audits: Support EHS department management as a facility representative for regulatory inspections and compliance audits.
• Special Projects: Complete projects and tasks as assigned by EHS department management, ensuring accuracy and quality in all deliverables.

• Preferred: Associates Degree or equivalent in academic background and experience or training in occupational safety and health, engineering, or related discipline
• Preferred: 1-3 years of industrial experience in manufacturing
• Strong understanding of safety and occupational health and industrial hygiene principles
• Experience interacting with regulatory agencies, safety and health professionals and legal counsel.
