A DAY IN THE LIFE

Enthalpy Analytical, is part of the larger organization, Montrose Environmental Group, is comprised of over 9 laboratories servicing air, water, soil, and toxicology testing. Regulations drive the need for our services, but our unique capabilities allow us to add value to clients beyond environmental compliance.

The Quality Assurance Associate I, is responsible for reviewing laboratory data for completion, accuracy, traceability, and compliance with the quality management system procedures with the goal of assuring documented data quality.

Essential Job Functions:

Review of data to ensure its compliance with the requirements of the quality management system for Enthalpy Analytical, LLC (Enthalpy), the reference method, and the customers’ requirements.
Compile basic to moderately complex analytical reports for submission to clients and regulatory authorities.
Collect and interpret data whose intent is to track laboratory quality control data trends or to document the lab’s performance (control charts, proficiency sample data)
Perform internal audit activities as directed by the QA Manager or QA Director
Review and update SOPs per the review schedule as directed by QA Manager or QA Director
Archive data according to SOPs.
Comply with Enthalpy’s Quality Assurance Program and other policies
Comply with Enthalpy’s Health and Safety Plan
Proficiency testing data entry, review, and tracking
Maintain traceability throughout the lab including calibration, verification, nonconformances, demonstration of capabilities, etc.
Support QA Director or Manager during external audits
Other duties as assigned

YOUR EXPERTISE & SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, individuals must be able to perform each duty and responsibility satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

Associate degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic/vocational qualifications. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Previous experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 1+ years’) or equivalent combination of education, training, & experience.

Preferred Skills:

Good working knowledge of scientific terminology and /or research concepts
Good knowledge of software used in word processing, spreadsheets, table and graph and portable document format (pdf) generation
Ability to collaborate with lab team members to gather, interpret and consolidate data, generate documentation and reporting, review data and information for presentation and review
Working knowledge of analytical laboratory procedures
Effective written and oral communication skills
Detail oriented
Time management skills
Good editorial and proofreading skills
Good problem solving and troubleshooting abilities
Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment
