BMS Heavy Cranes is a leading global company specializing in the crane and wind industry. We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Finance Assistant. In this role, you will provide vital support to the country manager and project managers, assisting with various financial tasks and ensuring smooth financial operations in the United States.
Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and maintenance of financial records, including invoices, receipts, and payments
Conduct regular financial transactions, such as accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
Prepare and process expense reports, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
Assist in the preparation of financial reports, statements, and forecasts
Collaborate with project managers to track project expenses and monitor budgetary compliance
Perform financial analysis and prepare reports to support decision-making processes
Assist in maintaining financial controls and procedures
Coordinate with the Danish headquarters for accurate and timely financial reporting
Provide financial support and guidance to the country manager and project managers
Assist in general accounting tasks, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end closing processes
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in finance or accounting roles
Sound knowledge of financial principles and practices
Proficiency in financial management software and MS Excel
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial data entry and analysis
Strong organizational and time management skills
Effective communication and interpersonal abilities
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proactive problem-solving skills and ability to prioritize tasks
Familiarity with US GAAP and financial reporting standards
Payroll
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in a multinational company
Familiarity with project-based accounting and financial control systems such as Xero, Approval Max, Expensify, Gusto etc.
