Job Responsibilities:

• Works without risk or harm to self or others
• Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures.
• Driving to and from drill site to collect core samples
• Washing and photographing core samples
• Cutting and sampling core samples
• Preparing samples for dispatch
• Ability to safely operate both on and off-road vehicles in hilly terrain in a mine environment.
• Properly use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required.
• Recognize, control, and communicate safety or environmental hazards.

Requirements:

• Experience working in a core shed, required
• The individual should demonstrate a high level of energy, self-motivation, and strong organizational skills
• Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs. throughout the day
• Forklift experience, preferred
• Previous experience working near a drill site, required
• Previous mining experience, required
• Ability to work independently and also as a member of a team
• Surface MSHA is required
• Requires a valid driver's license
