Head of Business Development

To support our continued growth, we are currently seeking a Head of Business Development to join our Strategic Consulting and Growth group, and lead a team of business development professionals focused on building and strengthening relationships across RTI-HS targeted clients. To support our growth, we seek a Vice President of Business Development to lead our Strategic Consulting and Growth team in building and strengthening relationships with targeted RTI-HS clients.
To be successful in this role you will have extensive experience building meaningful relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders and the ability to foster trust ensuring long-term collaboration and sustainable growth. fostering trust to ensure long-term collaboration and sustainable growth.

Strategic Planning & Leadership:
- Contribute to business unit strategy, aligning business development, marketing, and communication efforts with financial and technical goals.
- Develop and implement annual goals, ensuring accountability for meeting key deliverables that support the organization’s mission and objectives.
- Provide recommendations on positioning RTI-HS to respond proactively to market shifts and new client needs.
- Lead initiatives to identify new geographic and technical markets, develop strategic partnerships, and expand RTI-HS’s client base.
- Actively represent RTI-HS at events, conferences, and industry associations to promote the organization within the international development and research community.
- Lead business development initiatives with key institutional partners, fostering long-term client relationships and expanding RTI-HS’s influence globally.
- Lead a high-performing team through effective performance management, career development, and succession planning processes.
- Foster a positive team culture that promotes professional growth, high morale, and retention.
- Bachelor’s degree with 20 years of directly related experience in the healthcare consulting and/or research industries, or
- Master’s degree with 16 years of directly related experience in the healthcare consulting and/or research industries, or
- Ph D with 12 years of directly related experience in healthcare consulting and/or research industries
- A demonstrated record of success in business development within the healthcare consulting or life sciences sector.
- Proven track record in managing and growing business portfolios and securing high-value contracts.
- Strong leadership skills with experience building and motivating high-performing teams.
- In-depth knowledge of real-world evidence, market access, health economics, or outcomes research is highly preferred

The anticipated pay range for this role is listed below. Our pay ranges represent national averages and may vary by location as a geographic differential may be applied to some locations within the United States. RTI considers multiple factors when making an offer including, for example: established salary range, internal budget, business needs, and education and years of work experience possessed by the applicant. Further, salary is merely one element to our offer.
