Know the World, Show the Way...from Seabed to Space Assignment Description ASSIGNMENT DESCRIPTION: Installation Management Officers oversee programs, coordinate facility operations, and provide customer support. They manage construction, design, operations, and maintenance contracts. They perform space planning, technical studies, and analysis, and manage workforce support activities. They serve as customer support representatives for facility services and provide quality assurance for facility contracts. Combination of Education and Experience: A minimum of 24 semester (36 quarter) hours of coursework in any area listed in option A, plus experience in installation management, coordination of facilities operations, or a related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. As a rule, every 30 semester (45 quarter) hours of coursework is equivalent to one year of experience. Candidates should show that their combination of education and experience totals 4 years. -OR- C. Experience: A minimum of 4 years of experience in installation management, coordination of facilities operations, or a related field that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the duties associated with this work. -AND- LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS: DAWIA certification may be required for this position; see Position License and Certification Requirements below for additional details.Qualifications Desirable DESIRABLE QUALIFICATION CRITERIA: In addition to the mandatory qualifications, experience in the following is desired:
1. 2+ years of working knowledge experience in CAD (Auto CAD) and/ or BIM (Revit) files to design, maintain, or alter existing facilities.
2. 2+ years of experience in registering, cataloging, and publishing CAD and/or BIM (Revit) Files to Archibus for floor-plan drawings/ model files.
3. Certified in any International Facility Management Association (IFMA) program and/or Project Management Professional (PMP).
4. 3+ years of programming experience with Java, Java Script APIs, XML, Python, HTML SQL server, and/or Oracle database; modifying workflow rules to enhance Archibus functionality; customizing database schema; using SQL Scripts and PL/SQL queries; and storing procedures.Special Info External As a condition of employment at NGA, persons being considered for employment must meet NGA fitness for employment standards.
