Kitchen Receiver / Steward

We are seeking a Kitchen Receiver / Steward to join our team. The Kitchen Receiver / Steward will be responsible for maintaining inventory stock and organization in the kitchen area, supporting kitchen staff, and ensuring a sanitary and efficient work environment.
Responsibilities
- · Receive all deliveries (Grocery, Fresh Produce, Paper, Specialty Items, Etc.) and ensure proper quality of all items received at the time of delivery.
· Compare delivered items to invoices received from vendors to make sure all items on the invoice are accurately received.
· Responsible for coordinating with delivery drivers and directing them where to deliver incoming items.
· Responsible for properly rotating all inventory items as they are received, ensuring that older product is rotated to a “Use First” position. i.e. FIFO (First in, First out).
· Exhibit strong sense of urgency in all responsibilities.
· Act as point person for cooks and front of house colleagues in locating product on site.
· Responsible for cleanliness of dry storage areas and cold storage areas as well as loading dock and receiving area.
· Ensure compliance with cleanliness and sanitation standards in all storage and back of house areas.
· Willing and ready to assist in other areas as needed including food prep
· Work collaboratively with management team onsite and company colleagues offsite.
Experience
· Minimum of 2 Years Experience in fast-paced workplace food services and/or high volume public café services.
· Knowledgeable about kitchen receiving tasks & processes.
· Ability to lift 50lbs or more, repeatedly.
· Willingness to spend time outdoors in inclement weather (minimal).
· Willingness to work in refrigeration and freezer areas.
· Serv Safe and Allergen training certifications required. On site training available.
· Must be able to remain calm in a fast-paced work environment, while maintaining high quality teamwork.
· Knowledge of FIFO inventory management.
· Strong reading and communication skills in English language required.
· Legally authorized to work in the United States.
· Must have a valid Driver’s License and reliable source of transportation.
· Ability to pass a Criminal Background Check.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
