Support the Customs Engineering and Production Team in improving processes to achieve maximum production capacity, quality, and efficiency for existing and future projects. Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes. The Manufacturing Engineer will serve as liaison between the creative professionals on each project and the Production Team, always contributing to an innovative, forward-thinking team always keeping the end user in mind.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support Mechanical Engineers with project documentation. This includes mechanical drawings, schematics, control drawings, wire maps, and product instructions.
Electrical testing for cables, PCBs, adapters, using Easy Wire and NT Control Testing Software.
Product verification and inspection before shipment.
Light assembly work for rack systems and smaller adapter modules.
Light mechanical design using CAD Software Solid Works.
CNC programming for internally designed parts.
Safeguard the integrity of the Customs team.
Quoting projects using the information provided from the Sales Team.
Working with Purchasing to arrange materials for order on custom projects.
Help determine necessary equipment needs for specified projects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Four years of on the job experience, working in conjunction with manufacturing processes or a Mechanical / Electrical Engineering Degree. A combination of experience and schooling is sufficient as well.
Experience in areas of electronical engineering components and design procedures.
Experience in areas of mechanical engineering components and design procedures.
Ability to build and maintain relationships across department boundaries.
Lead and build a continuous improvement atmosphere.
High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness.
Able to problem solve and provide information with fact-based results.
Strength in process structure. Ability to train and maintain critical processes.

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in Electrical and or Mechanical Engineering.

Solid Works (other CAD package experience is acceptable)
CNC machining (manual machining experience is acceptable)

Crimping and use of wire processing equipment
Physical Requirements
Physical demands: Regularly lift 35 pounds and use of hand and wrists when typing information on keyboard. Must be able to twist, reach overhead, crawl, stoop and bend to the floor. Occasionally lift 50 pounds.
Visual accommodation: Must be able to read written materials and instructions to communicate with co-workers and customers.
Hearing accommodation: Must be able to make and receive phone calls.
Working conditions: Employee works in a clean environment with little exposure to fumes and dust. Work may occasionally be performed in a manufacturing type environment.
