Manufacturing Engineer II

Responsibilities:

Propose improvements to department/plant operations through manufacturing engineering analysis of existing operations compared to future requirements based on capacity, cost reduction, safety and/or risk avoidance opportunities.
Prepare project justification including recommendations, make-vs-buy analysis, layout, cost impact and schedule activities as required.
Implement processes including equipment procurement, coordination of installation, process capability prove-out, training, process documentation, work standard measurement and production start-up.
Implement process improvements including activities such as project management, tooling selection through implementation, N/C programming, etc.
Support processes resulting from process improvement, part changes, changing capacities, etc.

Qualifications:

Four-year Engineering degree OR a two-year Engineering degree with seven years of work experience is required OR no degree with 16 years of relevant experience.
Technical skills and training such as CNC programming, CAD layout, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), process capability theory, and statistical process control are preferred.
