Meeting & Events Planner - Hybrid

Source America is searching for a Meeting & Events Planner - Hybrid to join its team. This event management position is on the Marketing Communications team located in the Source America national office in Vienna, VA. Working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, this position will apply expertise to oversee the planning, management, and execution of small to large on-and off-site events for Source America. Ensuring all events are executed with a high degree of customer service, meet scope, and are on-budget. Must possess excellent planning and relationship management skills. This position helps connect our network of over 575 Non-Profit agencies with federal procurement opportunities across the United States! Our network of Non-Profit Agencies (NPAs) perform service and product contracts mainly for Federal agencies and help employ over 33,000+ people with disabilities nationally.
Due to the requirements of this position - The candidate must be based near Source America’s National Office in Vienna, VA (greater-Washington, DC metro area), in a Hybrid role model, which is 30 miles or less.
What You Will Do ...
As a Meeting & Events Planner - Hybrid, your work functions will include but are not limited to the following. A full position description will be given to candidates at the time of the interview.

Develop and manage event-specific forecasts and budgets, including analyzing costs and spending; ensuring events are executed under/on budget.
- Establish event goals and measurement tactics and provide post-event analysis of results.

Coordinate all onsite logistical aspects of Source America’s Xforce conference, including set-up requirements, move-in and tear-down instructions, and onsite troubleshooting.

Business travel is required for this position based on business needs (25%).

Support ASL Interpreter requests.
- Other responsibilities will be assigned as organizational needs arise.
The salary for this position falls in a range between $76,000- $90,000 depending on your experience and geographic location in the United States.
What You Must Have ...
- Associate's degree in a relevant field of study from an accredited institution instead of applicable skills training. Source America recognizes 1.5 years of experience = 1 year of college, should the candidate not meet the educational requirement.
- Event Planning, Event Management skills, and Catering Operations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Well-organized with excellent multi-tasking abilities.
- Outstanding vendor management skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including grammar and proofreading skills.
- Flexible schedule and some travel required during certain time periods.
- We use Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) as our primary business application system for much of our office processes— experience with D365 or using similar methods is preferred.
Our organization offers both a hybrid work model—where employees work in our office two to three days per week and work from home the balance of the workweek—as well as a fully remote work model, depending on the job requirements.
