    SALARY RANGE: Licensed Staff Salary Schedule plus School District Comprehensive Benefits Package. We accept up to thirty years of experience. Salary Range of $47,500 - $102,482 depending on experience and education with additional opportunities for tuition reimbursement.We will give all years depending on experience and education with additional opportunities for tuition reimbursement. This position may qualify for up to five additional steps on the certified salary schedule. This will be based on education and experience.     Position Overview:

    As a middle school interventionist, your role is to provide targeted support and instruction to students who require additional assistance to meet academic goals. Here's a detailed job description:

    • Identifying Student Needs: Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other staff members to identify students who are struggling academically, behaviorally, or socially. Analyze data, such as assessments, progress reports, and behavior records, to determine areas of need.
    • Small Group Instruction: Provide small group instruction to students who require additional support in specific academic areas, such as reading, math, or writing. Use targeted interventions, differentiated instruction, and research-based strategies to address skill gaps and promote growth.
    • Progress Monitoring: Monitor and track student progress in intervention programs through ongoing assessments, observations, and data collection. Adjust instruction and intervention strategies based on student performance and feedback to maximize effectiveness.
    • Collaboration with Teachers: Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention activities with classroom instruction and curriculum goals. Share progress updates, exchange instructional resources, and coordinate efforts to support student success.
    • Parent Communication: Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress, intervention plans, and strategies for support at home. Collaborate with parents to reinforce learning goals and provide resources for continued practice and reinforcement.
    • Professional Development: Stay current on best practices, research findings, and interventions in education and student support services. Participate in professional development opportunities, workshops, and training sessions to enhance knowledge and skills in intervention strategies.
    • Data Analysis and Reporting: Analyze data and assessment results to evaluate the effectiveness of intervention programs and strategies. Prepare reports on student progress, intervention outcomes, and recommendations for further support or modifications as needed.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Classroom Management:

      • Establish and maintain a positive, respectful, and safe classroom environment.
      • Implement effective classroom management strategies to promote student behavior and engagement.
    • Student Assessment and Evaluation:

      • Assess and evaluate student progress through tests, assignments, and projects.
      • Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents/guardians.
      • Use assessment data to inform instruction and support student improvement.
    • Professional Collaboration:

      • Collaborate with colleagues, school staff, and parents to support student success.
      • Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with educational practices and content knowledge.
      • Contribute to school-wide initiatives and committees as needed.
    • Administrative Duties:

      • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and other relevant information.
      • Prepare and submit reports and documentation as required by school administration.
      • Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and state regulations


    QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE POSITION:

    • Minimum B. A. or B. S. in Education with K-12 or Read or Secondary Math endorsement/emphasis.
    • Hold/be able to obtain Colorado Teachers' License in ELA or Math from Colorado Department of Education.
    • Bilingual/Biliterate in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
    • Demonstrated ability to ensure student academic success/experience in Middle School ELA /Math preferred.
    • Computer and Technology skills preferred.
    • Able to work as a team member; prefer experience in middle school teaming and AVID.
    • Experience working with diverse populations.
    • Coaching available.
