We are looking for an insurance authorization specialist to join our Oncology Team! The new team member must have experience obtaining authorizations for in office procedures and surgical procedures. Job Details:

• Obtain and confirm patient demographics and update patient profile.
• Obtain Authorizations for in house procedures and surgical authorizations
• Collect payment and/or assist patient with minor billing concerns.
• Scan pertinent information into EMR system (HIPAA compliance, authorizations, medical records, etc.).
• Respond to non-medical patient emails and phone calls.
• Demonstrate and embody the Womens Care mission and core values.
• Compliance with all HIPAA rules, regulations, and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Insurance Authorization and benefits experience
• Medical Billing
• Oncology experience preferred but not required
• Preferably oneyear of experience working in a medical office or healthcare setting, OBGYN a plus.
• General knowledge of medical terminology is ideal.
• Preferred experience working with an electronic medical records system, e CW a plus.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Deadline-driven and detail-oriented.
• Ability to multi-task in a high-volume and dynamic atmosphere.
• Ability to communicate and work efficiently with patients, co-workers, and providers.
• Must be dependable, reliable, and punctual.
