Position Overview: We are looking for a seasoned talented, bilingual (English/Spanish) pet groomer to join our team in a collaboration capacity. If you have a passion for animals and want to grow your business while working with an established pet care company, this is the perfect opportunity!
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
· Provide Professional Grooming services to include clipping, combing, trimming, hand scissoring-haircut, flea/tick treatments, pawdicures, and ear cleansing.
· Perform grooming for each pet using knowledge of breed characteristics, techniques and styles. Reads written or receives oral instructions to determine hair cut pattern desired from pet’s parent preference.
· Ability and stamina to groom several dogs per day and perform pet bathing, treatments, and other specialty grooming services for our furry friends.
· Sanitizes/disinfects grooming area, pet enclosures/boarding areas.
· Maintain a clean and safe grooming environment.
· Build strong relationships with pet owners and ensure excellent customer service.
· Manage grooming appointments efficiently.
· Work collaboratively with our team to ensure the highest standards of care.
· Visually checks pets for safety and well-being throughout the day.
· Promptly brings concerns and/or issues to management.
· Ensures pet is never left unattended while in the grooming process.
Qualifications & Requirements:
· Previous grooming experience minimum of one (1) year.
· Must provide verifiable references from previous jobs
· Ability to handle all breeds and temperaments.
· Must be familiar with standard cuts for all breeds to include puppy cuts.
· Must be proficient in hand scissoring techniques as well as using various tools of the trade.
· Passion for animal care and grooming.
· Strong customer service skills.
· Must have your own grooming tools (preferred but negotiable).
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) – must be able to communicate fluently in both languages.
· Must love to work with dogs/puppies.
· Must be reliable with a positive attitude, enthusiastic and must have a professional work ethic.
· Must be dedicated to the health and well-being of our pet guest
· Must be a US Citizen or legally authorized to work in the United States.
