D.C. United: Player Engagement Coordinator

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Player Engagement Coordinator is responsible for managing the operations process of relocation for all players. This position will help players arrive and settle into the Washington, D.C. market by aiding in the transition process. This position will help the players’ and staff’s families settle into the city and build a connection between the Club and the families. This position will assist the Team Administrator in organization of schedules and travel for matches, player appearances and preseason camps. The Player Care Coordinator will report to the Team Administrator.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinate the moving and relocation of all players and staff including but not limited to: Visas, flights, household furnishings, vehicles, school options and additional personal items

• Manage the budget and stay within the guidelines for relocation and moving expenses per the CBA.

• Assist players and their families in compliance with Social Security and Human Resources

• Applying for state-required documents for players such as Social Security, Driver’s Licenses/State ID, etc.

• Lead in housing search, bank account set-up and car leases

• Build working relationships between local rental properties, car dealerships, etc.

• Assist Team Administrator in the on-boarding of players to Workday

• Serve as a point of contact for players’ family on Match Day

• Develop family events to foster connection between the families and the Club

• Assist in the immigration paperwork for player and staff visa and/or green card process

• Aid in the organization, scheduling and execution of requests for player appearances and autographs

• Assist in development of travel itineraries for away trips including away matches and preseason camps

• Maintain relationships and communication with front office departments (operations, communications, marketing and ticketing) to stay updated on any changes to protocols or campaigns

• Monitor and maintain contact with players moving between D.C. United, MLS Next and D.C. United Academy

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and knowledge of Teamworks

• Ability to travel to all away matches and other trips with the team;

• Ability to speak Spanish is preferred, but not required.
