Job Description:

• Own the end-to-end development of power converter hardware from concept architecture through design and prototype testing into mass production.
• Design and validate power stages, magnetics, controls, and EMI/EMC strategies..
• 
  Define hardware requirements, build detailed schematics, select components, PCBA layout, prototype, and validate hardware.
• 
  Conduct modeling and simulation of power converters to speed up design cycles.
• 
  Be on the forefront of technology including identification and adoption of latest power semiconductor and control trends.
• 
  Anticipate challenges ahead of time and thrive in a fast-paced development environment.

Qualifications:

• Master’s degree with 8+ years experience or Phd (preferred) with 6+ years experience in power electronics and control.
• 
  Knowledge of theory and practical design of power converter topologies
• 
  Demonstrated experience in hardware development of complex power converters (multi-level inverters, resonant dc-dc converters), preferably in the solar/storage or electric vehicle space.
• 
  Strong proficiency in advanced magnetics design and thermal management.
• 
  Experience with high power density designs, packaging, and embedded circuits.
• 
  Must have DFM, DFR, and DFMEA experience.
• 
  PCBA layout and manufacturing experience preferred.Strong background in control FW design and implementation.Versatility with various modeling and simulation tools – MATLAB, Python, PLECS, etc.
• 
  Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

• Availability for 10% domestic and international travel
