Private In-Home Caregiver - On Call/Per Diem

Seeking on-call caregiver to provide backup/fill in for primary caregiver, providing daily support with activities of daily living for elderly male veteran with advanced dementia in a private family home located in Mount Vernon, TX. Routine activities include, but may not be limited to:
· General supervision and companionship, providing entertainment and encouraging exercise, including outdoor walks and activities.
· Ensuring safety of space and person at all times.
· Supporting hygiene and cleanliness, including toileting and managing incontinence.
· Light meal preparation and feeding support; monitoring and encouraging proper hydration
· Light housekeeping related to caregiving duties (cleaning up after meals, cleaning up after spills or accidents, laundry or changing bedding or furniture covers as needed, etc.)
This is a unique opportunity with high expectations for reliability, punctuality, and transportation. This position is located in a pet-friendly (dogs and cats) and tobacco-free home with onsite family members present. Interested candidates must be eligible to work in the United States, have strong references, be able to pass a background screening and drug test, and ensure good personal hygiene and cleanliness.
Anticipated schedule: On call, Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay: $12-$15/hour, depending on experience.
Job Types: Part-time, Contract
Pay: $12.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 8 – 40 per week
Schedule:

Day shift
Monday to Friday
