RCA Rural Carrier Associate

Job Summary
The Rural Carrier Associate (RCA) plays a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient delivery of mail and packages to rural areas. This position requires a dedicated individual who is capable of operating various delivery vehicles, including box trucks and vans, while providing exceptional customer service. The RCA will be responsible for loading and unloading mail, managing delivery routes, and maintaining a high standard of service to meet the needs of our customers.
Duties

Operate delivery vehicles safely and efficiently to transport mail and packages to designated rural locations.
Load and unload mail from vehicles using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks.
Follow established delivery routes while adhering to all traffic regulations and safety protocols.
Provide excellent customer service by interacting positively with customers during deliveries.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including any issues encountered during the route.
Assist in the organization and sorting of mail within the warehouse or distribution center.
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations within the delivery process.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a courier, delivery driver, or in a similar role is preferred.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and practices is advantageous.
Ability to operate various types of vehicles, including box trucks and vans.
Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on communication and professionalism.
Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is a plus.
Ability to lift heavy packages and perform physical tasks associated with loading/unloading mail.
Must be able to work flexible hours as needed, including weekends or holidays if required.
