To provide case management and employment services with refugee and other eligible populations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES, & COMPETENCIES

Provides employment services: development of a family self-sufficiency plan, individual employability plan, work of work and job orientation, job clubs, job workshops, job development, referral to job opportunities, job search, and job placement and follow up

Provides employability assessment services including aptitude and skills testing

Refers and coordinates with on the job training, vocational training, and skills recertification opportunities

Provides case management services for the purpose of barrier removal for employment as soon as possible after arrival in the United States

Maintains client-related documentation standards by preparing and completing in a timely manner all required records and reports for all assigned clients

Networks with employers and other community agencies

Represents the agency when interacting with Ohio Department of Jobs and Family Services, Ohio Means Jobs, and potential employers and coordinates a process to accept referrals and report noncompliance to the county agency

Classroom instruction: develops and leads employment-related classroom activities, workshops

Assists clients with resume preparation, cover letters, portfolios, interviews

Works closely with English as Second Language Instructors/Volunteer Tutors on the development/implementation of Vocational ESL curriculum

Bachelors Degree in human services related field required or equivalent experience

Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and databases

Must have excellent organizational skills to work in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Ability to work well with a diverse population of clients

Multilingual preferred
