YOUR MISSION (The Job Description):
Kassi Beach Club is a Coastal, Italian Restaurant, Bar and Lounge. Located just off the Virgin Las Vegas Hotel Pool, Kassi Beach serves lunch and dinner every day and hosts a party brunch Saturdays and Sundays on weekends. Our kitchen serves artisanal Neapolitan pizzas as well as house-made pastas reminiscent of Italy's seaside and island resorts. DJ lineups, cabana service, industry nights, and locals nights round out the nightlife and day-life programming. Guests can spend the entire day at Kassi Beach - enjoying lunch and poolside cocktails, sunset and early supper and an intimate, late night party scene in a chic, exclusive, venue!

The Server position reports to Kassi Beach Club management and is responsible for performing basic cleaning and dishwashing responsibilities with others or individually. All duties are to be performed in accordance with SNHD, Kassi Beach Club and Virgin Hotels Las Vegas policies, practices, and procedures.

THE NITTY-GRITTY (The Essential Job Duties):

• Greet and guide guests throughout their dining experience making insightful and timely suggestions on ordering.
• Place all order into the POS accurately.
• Create memorable experiences for guests and create repeat customers, positive word of mouth business
• Ensure guest satisfaction through food quality checks and responsiveness to guest complaints
• Maintain a well-groomed neat and clean appearance, carrying out duties with attention to sanitation safety
• Anticipate, identify, and provide for guest needs
• Perform side work duties on daily basis and other duties as assigned

WHAT IT TAKES (The Qualities We Look For)

• Transport trays and/or plates which may weigh up to 50 pounds, as well as serve food items and beverages
• Review and comprehend necessary documentation
• Stand throughout an eight-hour shift
• Effectively and efficiently move throughout work area
• Communicate effectively with customers and co-workers alike
• Work in an environment that has varying levels of smoke, crowds, and noise the severity of which depends upon customer volume
• Familiarity with food, beverage, and wine service
• Knowledge of table service, ability to carry a tray and multiple plates in hand
• Knowledge of table etiquette -- open handed service
• Knowledge of proper table set up for catered events
• These skills and abilities are typically acquired through three (3) years banquet or catering experience

MUST HAVE'S

• Current, legal, and unrestricted ability to work in the United States
• High school or equivalent education required
• Food Service Handler Card and TABC certification that is currently valid for a minimum of at least 6 months
• Preferred: 1-2 years' experience in a full-service restaurant or lounge
• Familiarity with superior customer service skills required
• Must have the ability to lead and supervise
• The skills and abilities necessary for effective performance within this position are typically acquired through five (5) years serving or similar experience or through progressive promotion and training within the foodservice department

THE WORKING CONDITIONS

• Lift and carry 50 lbs, carry and balance plates, carry kegs, wine and beer cases as necessary
• Stand for periods of 8-10 hours
• Communicate clearly in verbal and written English
• Bend, squat and stretch in areas of limited space to perform cleaning, organization, and other duties
• Work in an environment that is subject to varying levels of cold, heat, smoke, and sound. Incumbents are at times subject to hazards such as chemicals; proper safety precautions will be taken. This position occasionally works outside and is subject to all weather Proper clothing is provided
