Missions Systems Sector is looking for you to join our team as a Software Development Analyst – EVM Tools based out of Linthicum, MD. This position may be staffed as a Hybrid role from the Linthicum, MD area. This position offers the 9/80 schedule.
What You’ll Get to Do
The Software Development Analyst – EVM Tools support the Digital Transformation Business Management organization, reporting to the Digital Transformation Tools and Processes Manager.
Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Researches, designs, develops, and/or modifies enterprise-wide systems and/or applications software.
- Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting software compliance standards.
- Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements, and characteristics of overall system. Documents testing and maintenance of system corrections.
- Develops computer systems specifications that address business requirements and that fit with the company's system architecture standards.
- Establishes and documents system parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems compatibility and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities.
- Work with project leads to complete some Share Point to .NET conversion projects with minimal supervision
- Revise existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline with 2 years of related professional experience - OR - a Master's degree as described above with some related professional experience.
- Strong PC skills - specifically Excel proficiency (including pivot tables, Vlookup, and conditional formatting)
- Working knowledge of database and web server technologies
- Formal understanding of basic networking concepts
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience communicating effectively across different levels of the organization
- Experience balancing customer service and long-term sustainable objectives
- Ability to travel domestically 10% of the time.
- Programming in a language such as Java, XML, XSLT, UML, web services, C, C++
- Experience using Tableau
- Experience with financial data systems such as SAP, COBRA, and IBM Analytics (COGNOS)

Salary Range: $83,300 - $124,900
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
